Are you feeling frustrated that, no matter what you do, you can’t lose weight?
Like so many women, you’ve got “trouble” areas on your body. Maybe it’s your belly, your thighs, or your butt. You feel insecure about them, and you focus on those areas when you think about losing weight.
That’s how I used to operate as well. I focused so much on all the ways my body was not good enough, not thin enough, or not light enough.
I didn’t realize how that was causing energetic heaviness in my body.
Even if you’re dieting and exercising, you still may be unable to lose physical weight. Almost always, this happens because there’s an energetic blockage in your body that’s heavy and stuck. When we finally move this energy out of the way, the physical weight is able to “loosen up” and fall away too. Here’s how to do it…
What To Do When Your Body Is Holding Onto Weight
Each month, I host a Live Coaching Call for all the members of The Carol Tuttle Healing Center. These calls are always phenomenal, and everyone who watches them learns so much.
Back during January 2022’s monthly coaching call, I led a powerful visualization to help you tap into and release the energetic weight you’re carrying in different parts of your body.
Ho’oponopono is a healing practice of love, gratitude, and forgiveness. Your body has been such a trooper for you. It has been through so much for you. We don’t always take care of it, we don’t talk kindly to it, and we don’t always treat it with respect and admiration.
It is the silent part of us that just takes on whatever we put on our bodies. Now it’s time to acknowledge it.
Before you begin, read through the visualization so you’re familiar with it. Feel free to record your own voice reading it, so you can listen back to it whenever you need to.
(Or — make it easy on yourself! Join the Healing Center so you can watch the Coaching Call replay and let Carol’s voice guide you through this powerful practice.)
A 5-Minute Ho’oponopono Visualization to Release Energetic Weight
Think of three areas of your body you’re unhappy with or that are needing your attention. Feel free to write them down, say them out loud, or bring them to mind. You’re going to focus on one area at a time during this visualization.
Get into a comfortable position and close your eyes. Uncross your arms and legs, placing your feet on the ground. Turn your attention to your body and the space it’s occupying. If you’re sitting in a chair, feel that chair holding you, the back of the chair holding your back, the seat of the chair holding your buttocks. Feel the weight of your feet on the floor. You can place your hands on your thighs or heart chakra, the center of your chest. As you take a deep inhale and exhale, really notice being present in your body. Take three deep inhales and exhales.
Now, think of the first area of your body. Put your attention on it. You notice how much this part of your body has worked for you over the years on a daily basis. And as you put your attention now, imagine if you can, that whole area being filled with white light. And repeat the mantra after me. “I love you. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.”
Your body is appreciative of the fact that you even acknowledge what it’s experienced and ask for it to forgive you. And it does. There’s a peace that’s felt in that area.
Now, go to the second area you’ve chosen. Place your hands on that area of the body. Again, just take a moment and tune into that, what that part of your body has done for you, the work that it’s done, what it shows up to do every day. It doesn’t even have a choice. Sometimes the body is so exhausted, it’s so worn out, it just quits on you because it’s like it needs a choice. It needs a choice to rest. And fill that part of your body with white light and repeat after me. “I love you. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.”
Recognize that part of your body is so grateful that you would acknowledge it and ask for forgiveness that you’ve accounted for its experience.
Now, move on to the third area. I’m just gonna put my hands on my crown, on my head. Whatever your third area of your body is, make that connection with your hands. Get in tune with it and all that it’s done for you, all the daily work and the daily…the body never stops as long as your heart is beating, that brain is working, that blood is flowing. Imagine this next third place of your body filled with light. And repeat after me. “I love you. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.”
Go ahead and drop your hands. Take a deep inhale and exhale. Feel the grace in your system. That mantra imbues love and appreciation into your whole body. And then just gently open your eyes, coming back into present moment awareness.
As you love your body, your body will reflect that love back to you.
Any time you need to, place your hands on any area of your body and repeat, “I love you. I am sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.”
Make this about falling in love with your body. Your body performs differently for you when you love it and you’re not trying to change it. I stopped trying to change it. I started to heal it. I started to nurture it. And now I’m the healthiest I’ve been in years, thrilled with my weight, and loving my body every day.
