5 Positive Self-Affirmations You Need to Hear Yourself Say

How to have more self-worth with the use of "I am" statements.

A lot of people in this world aren’t very kind to themselves. Are you one of them?

Your first instinct may be to say that you are kind to yourself, but just for today, pay attention to the way you talk to yourself.

Would you say those same things to your best friend?

No matter where you are on your journey to create an amazing life, you will make greater strides when you’re more kind to yourself.

The use of “I am” quotes and self-worth quotes send a powerful message to your overactive subconscious mind.

5 Positive Affirmations of Self Love You Need to Hear Yourself Say

1. I am worthwhile and my needs matter.

Do you believe you are enough and your needs are valid? If not, it’s time to be honest. This self-worth quote is one of the most important. If you believe you are anything less than wonderful, powerful, appreciated, and honored, you’re believing a lie that’s keeping you stuck. God is kind and will reveal the truth to you; all you have to do is ask.

2. I am speaking the truth and what I say is important.

Stop criticizing yourself and going over things you think you did wrong or things you regret saying. Trust your intuition that all your actions served a purpose in your life.

One way to let it go: hold your neurovascular points—the points right above each eye on your forehead—for about 15-20 seconds while you are going off on a tangent in your head. It will quiet it and stop it.

3. I am grateful for my healthy body.

It’s easy to become sedate and immobile in our time. But this causes the life force energy to become stagnant and stuck—this happens to so many people.

So get out and move your body! It can be something as simple as walking or stretching.

Even if you feel like you don’t have a completely healthy body, express gratitude to your body for what it can do! Being kind to your body will charge it with positive energy and affirmation.

4. I am being kind to myself and to others today.

This “I am” quote will change the way you think and behave on a daily basis. When you notice yourself about to say something negative about yourself, just stop and be grateful that you caught yourself. Remind your self that you are being kind today.

This doesn’t work unless you show gratitude and kindness to others, too. You may have negative people around you, but what you offer to others you also offer to yourself.

5. I am powerful, and I am using my power to make a difference in this world.

For support to create your life, use the “Daily Script” in my book, Remembering Wholeness. You can find it in the Appendix. Reading this script gets your day going in a vibrant positive energy.

I read it every day for months. It changed my life.

Do this to make a change and not simply to please other people.

Here’s how you can maximize the results you’ll see from saying these 5 self-affirmation reminders:

  • Say them out loud every day.
  • Look at yourself in the mirror as you say them.
  • Set reminders on your phone so they will pop up on your screen throughout the day.
  • Share these 5 reminders with someone you love and encourage each other to be more kind.
  • Journal about your experiences as you notice yourself shifting.

May you have many days that leave you feeling amazed and grateful. You are worthy of a beautiful life.
